Sorry for the delayed update...I have been battling this stubborn cold bug the last month and it was wearing me out. But I have been making some progress on Fairy Idyll. I finished the DMC section of the topiaries and on to the pink bedding at the foot of her bed.
Don't be shocked but Royal Holiday has made an appearance. I am trying to work a bit of a rotation and it seems to be helping. Monday's is my day to stitch on Royal Holiday. We will see how long this routine lasts. LOL Here she is in all her glory and pink thread!!! I am not a fan of pinks so I will have to see how her skirt plays out as I stitch it.
I hope this will give all of you Mirabilia lovers some eye candy and some inspiration. I can't wait to see more of what you all are working on but no pressure, lol. I had some good stitching time to work on Adia the last two days because my hubby and a couple of the kids went to the lake and I stayed home and enjoyed a very peaceful house of which is great for stitching.
In other news, I received my fabric to start Mermaid of Atlantis and I already got it on the scroll frame. I expect to get a few stitches started on it very soon.
I have made a start on Adia, The Garden Fairy and now she has a face. This one is going to be another cropped version so I should be able to complete it in a week or two.
I seem to be behind on all of my blogging. I want to say everyone is doing some very stunning pieces. WOW they are all great. Here is my update for this week.
Between catching my husband's raging cold and getting the home ready to sell, I finally caught a few hours to stitch a little on Christmas Flourishes. Cell phone cameras don't do her justice.
Im finally posting an update of my Feather Fairy! I have to admit that all the stitching was done prior to baby's arrival on 18th Jan so i havent done anything since, but i will get back to her again one day soon....this blog will keep me motivated :-)
Hi everyone. I am not stitching on Royal Holiday at the moment. My house has a swinging door as visitors are coming and going non stop. We had one set of guests leave at 11 am. yesterday and the next arrive at 2 p.m. Stitching time is very limited right now. Once the last guests are gone it will be back to stitching and I will post some progress. I have been reading the blog when I can and enjoying everyone's progress. Keep stitching ladies. You keep me inspired.
I haven't fallen off the list, just have been busy with other pieces I have been trying to finish off. I have done a little more on my fairy but after the end of the month, I will put a concentrated effort into it. I will try to get a photo posted next week of my progress on the fairy.
I've been inspired to continue my work on Athena today and here is what I have accomplished. I am going to try to finish the border tomorrow. The owl is one of my favorite parts, it has wisper thread in it.
I have also decided to tackle Mermaid of Atlantis in it's entirety (except the border). I have already ordered the fabric from Enchanted fabrics (looks like about 4 weeks until I will receive it) and all of the beads and kreinik so be looking for that one in the upcoming weeks.
Hi Everyone, sorry no progress to report on Fairy Idyll, I have been sick with a lovely head/chest cold for the past week and not been feeling up to stitching. I hope to do some later this week and then post a picture after the weekend.
Hopefully I will find more stitching time this month and make some good progress on Fairy Idyll. Everyone's WIPS are beautiful and keeping me inspired...
I have been working on Athena the last couple of days and will probably be trying to finish her as well this week. As I have previously mentioned, I am only stitching a portion of the girl therefore I am adding a border. I have the beginnings of Adia, The Garden Fairy started as well. She will also be a partial design with a border.
