A New Mirabilia RR

Just dropping by to give you food for thought.

There may be a new Mirabilia RR starting in the fall. Think about it. It is a COMMITMENT for approximately a year. We try to do 6 week mailings. The time frame will be determined by the number of stitchers. We try to have no more than 9 stitchers. If you are interested, contact me at drewsgrands@hotmail.com and I will put your name on the possible list.

Fairy Idyll

So here is what the last two months of Fairy Idyll look like! I dyed the linen myself and had to store the stretcher in a place where the sun reached and as you can see it did some bleaching. Oh Well. After I finish it I may have to sun bleach the rest of it.

Newbie!

Hi everyone! My name is jenn and I have been stitching for about 20 years now. When I first saw Lavender and Lace I fell in love with the designs, But then I saw Nora's and had to convert over to her! I have stitched about 20 Mira's and LNL's, I have stitched the mercy angels twice each- So if I never stitch with white again it will be too soon! LOL

My current work in progress is Fairy Idyll, I am currently about 50% done. I am working on a peice of uneven linen that I hand-dyed myself into a light purple shade.

Right now I am not on my computer so I can't upload a current photo but you can view the progress on my blog: http://www.leftsox.blogspot.com/ and when I find my camera (we moved last week) I will get you all a good up to date photo of the fabric and progress!

Thank you for letting my join in on all the fun adn I look forward to seeing the Mira's you all complete!

BTW were do I get in on one of these round robins!!! They are stunning!

Midsummer Night's Fairy is Done!

Yay!  She's been on my "bucket list" for YEARS, so I'm really glad I got her done.   She is my 10th completed Mirabilia.

I'm having a little Mirabilia giveaway over on my blog which may interest some of my fellow Mira-addicts :-)  Come have a peek!

Edited to add:  The fabric is Misty Blue 32 count belfast linen.  In retrospect, with so many beads on it, it would have come out a little neater on 28 count.

Now how's this for Mirabilia's

As you know, I am participating in a Mirabilia RR. Well, wait till you see these.

First up - I stitched Winter Queen on Autumn's RR.

Here it is as it left my home.

Next is Emerald Mermaid that I stitched on Kaye's RR.

Here it is ready for mailing.

And last, but oh so wonderful - here is my RR come back home.
Isn't it the most beautiful piece ever. Each of the ladies picked the perfect lady.. The stitching and beading are so wonderful. I will treasure it for always.

I have another Mirabilia RR that arrived yesterday but will save it for the next post.
