Jen's WWMirabiliaRR section finished!

Okay, Jen, here's your other fairy finished! I really loved stitching her. I think she'd be awesome to stitch in full, and I'm seriously considering it once our RR is finished. I hope she's all you're wishing for. Finished except for the quarter stitches I still need to fill in.
You can see the piece in full above, and a close up of The Petal Fairy, which I posted previously. I set the cameo in so you could see the scale.
Below is my pile of stitching projects...just a small bit of them!! :P Underneath them is my cute little box (which can't be seen!) of WIPs in their bags. I just sit in my chair and put down the one I'm stitching on, and pick up the next one I need to stitch on. Works for me! But, then, I have a very understanding DH.... He wasn't at first until I said, "Stitching is my life. Take my stitching from me, and I die!!" A little dramatic...

You can see my Mirabilia box in the upper left side!! :] This is where I keep my charts and threads and beads and fancy scissors and notes! Waiting for my next RR piece now... This whole pile is on the edge of my chaise lounge...so nobody can use it. :)

Keep in touch everyone! Hugs, Deb

Stacy's Halloween Fairy

I've been zipping along on this. I only started Halloween Fairy last week. She's been so fun! I'm changing the color of her wings because the two skeins that were provided inthe kit were from two different dye lots. Also I didn't want pink skin so I picked a DMC shade from my stash.
Here's my progress picture!

Also, Is ayone planning on stitching Sunflower Fairy? I scanned a picture from the September 2009 Cross Stitch & Needlework in case anyone is interested in seeing what she looks like. She really appeals to me. I don't quite like the idea of using 3 strand floss when you're stitching with 2 strands. Seems to be a waste of thread... I might anyway though (uses Valdani theads).

Mira RR - Deb's Emerald Mermaid

Well, here is my first addition to the Mirabilia RR.

This is Emerald Mermaid for Deb (Lavender Rose).

I was surprised at how many beads there were on just this small part. But, I loved it.

Stitching Mira RR 2009

So delighted to be stitching with this group on our Mirabilia RR for 2009. This is Jenn of WI's piece. She's requested children and fairies....hence my two fairies. On the lower right is the Petal Fairie's face and headdress and on the upper left is my partial stitch of the Feather Fairy.
Lots of fun!!

I'm ready to start another one for 2010 already!!! What do you think, Missy???

(Sadly, my Mermaid of the Pearls is sitting on the sidelines wondering when I'll get to her face!!)
I need to finish her before Christmas...

Have you guys seen the new Mira in CS&N?

There's a new Mirabilia called Sunflower Fairy in the new Cross Stitch & Needlework. Have you guys seen it? I'll try to do a scan later on to share. It's stitched in Valdani using late Summer, early Autumn colors. Really pretty!

Beartice, has progress to show!

I've been working on a piece that I wish to finish ...but this called me this weekend so I put some stitches in White Christmas.
I've been looking at the progress of the rest of the Mira's and they are all sooo pretty.

I usually work on this on Saturday's so I thought I'd try and stay in my rotation.

Have a good week..see you all again soon.
Stitch with happy fingers.

Mediterranean Mermaid Finished!

She's a quick stitch, even with the ginormous amount of beading. Stitched on 25ct. Stormy Seas lugana by Polstitches.

My Progress

HI Ladies, well I finally got some stitching done on Fairy Idyll last week while I was on vacation. I havent been able to post a photo yet since I transferred to a new job yesterday and they need to upgrade my computer and I suspect I will have to reload my digital camera software.
but She is looking great. I completed the left side of the canopy and working my way over to the middle.

Sleeping Beauty has hair!

I really need to work on my photography editing - this looks very washed out compared to the actual piece. But I suppose that's one of the charms of needlework - a photograph of the same subject just doesn't work for us :-)

Crystal Symphony Framed!

It's always nice to get one of the Mira's framed (I currently have a pile of unframed work - don't we all??). If you recall, Crystal was a gift to my mom. She's going to be hanging in a room where there's a lot of roses, so that'll pick up the roses in her dress really nicely (it's my mom's sitting room, which is filled with needlework and lacework from all the ladies in the family) With all of the beadwork on her, my mom wanted to keep the frame on the simple side, so we went with grey mats and a pewter frame. She's topped with a UV-protetive glass. As always, the picture doesn't really do her justice.
