More Progress

Here is an updated picture of Fairy Idyll, took this last night after I finished for the night. I finally completed the pink section and have started the canopy...hope to work away on it this week as I booked a long weekend, ie thursday and friday off, so I hope to find lots of time and get this piece progressing towards a finish.

Enjoy

It's been awhile

I've managed to keep looking at the progress through Google reader but my browser has been in bad shape for almost a month. I did stitch and here is what happens when you don't spend hours on the blogs.
I've missed you all and I'm glad I'm back up and running.
Stitch with happy fingers and keep up the lovely work on your Mira's!!!

Why I'm Never Bored

I always have tons of works in progress!

I'm back working on Summer Queen. She finally has a face, although lots more white to fill in. I'm focusing on her now until she's done - probably a couple of weeks since it's also the end of the semseter at school.

I made headways into Midsummer Night's Fairy as well. She's been put aside for the time being though, while I finish up Summer Queen, and probably need to spend a little time working on some of the other WIPs I have going (there are three WIPs that are not Mirabilias, believe it or not).

And finally, here's what I've completed thus far on Crystal Symphony. I'll admit - I have not worked on her in several months, and probably won't be working on her in the immediate future. I would like to get her finished in 2010.

Bluebeard's Princess

Finished! Stitched on 28ct. linen Solo from Silkweaver. Stitched as charted except for the omitting the shell in her hand and replaced with a shisha mirror. More details and pictures can be found in my personal blog if you want more. :)

Bluebeard's Princess

She's very nearly done. I have plans to add a mirror to her hand. Hopefully I'll have that done by this weekend.

Finally, a post!

You probably thought I'd dropped off the face of the earth but really I've been here all along. I haven't had a lot of time lately for commenting or stitching for that matter but I have been enjoying everyone's progress. As for me, I finally sat down with my Easter Fairy and managed to complete all but the beading of which I've got about a third done. I've had the hardest time stitching this piece. I lost interest somewhere along the way and found it so difficult to pick her up again. My tastes in stitching seem to be changing rapidly, either that or I'm having way too many mood swings, lol! In any case here she is. Just the beading for her fairy dust remains. Wish me luck!

Bluebeard's Princess

Getting really close to a finish here. Hopefully I'll be done by Wednesday at the latest.

More Bluebeard's Princess

All the stitching and beading (minus crystals) is complete on the mermaid. I have the two seahorses, the bottom border and her hand to complete. I've decided I don't want her to hold the seashell, but I'm still working out what exactly she'll be holding.

Tracy's Progress on her Mermaid

I am about at the half way mark on this project after just 3 weeks. As I have said before, I love working on it; it is bringing me a lot of enjoyment as I stitch. I have replaced the called for Caron colors with dmc; the color in the column is dmc 612 and the color in the seaweed is dmc 368 and 369, the color in the treasures she is holding is a dinky dyes that I had in my stash called aussies jewels, # 97, it is more colorful than the model but I like it; it goes well with the fabric I think.

Progress on Mermaid of Atlantis

Here is my most recent progress on Mermaid of Atlantis by Mirabilia. This is a very enjoyable project.

A start on Midsummer Night's Fairy

I had to take a break from Summer Queen, and instead of responsibly going to work on another one of my WIPs, I yielded to the siren call of pristine linen and new threads, and started working on Middi. The fabric is 32 count Misty Blue belfast linen.

Easter Long Weekend stitching plans?

Well I am really looking forward to the long weekend, with everything closed on Friday, I plan to plunk myself down after I do my 5km walk/run and stitch the day away on Fairy Idyll. I have been back in the stitching groove and working away on the Pink area and I should have that done by the end of the weekend. I wish I had monday off as a holiday too but we only get friday. I will post a photo next week of my progress.
Everyone's WIPS are just gorgeous.

Mermaid of Atlantis Started

I finally have a decent start on Mermaid of Atlantis. I'm enjoying the time I am spending working on this one. I am adding the beads as I go, the larger beads in the photo are a dark blue and the seed beads are dark green. I don't plan on stitching the border.

I have finished Adia, The Garden Fairy and have it set aside to wait framing because I think I will be stitching a couple more bordered, partial Mirabilia's to group with her.
To see more of my work, visit me at Passion of the Day.
Thanks for looking.

Hi everyone! My name is Missy Ann (Melissa) and I think most of you I've seen around the web so I imagine most of you know you me. Thank you to Kathy for letting me join. I'll try not to make you regret it. lol

Right now the only Mirabilia (I tend to only have 1 Mira at a time going) I'm working on is Bluebeard's Princess: (and why does Blogger always put my pictures where I don't put them?!) I'm stitching her on a Silkweaver 28ct. Linen Solo with threads & beads as charted. Except where the conch shell is supposed to be. I have an idea for what I want her to hold and it's a secret until I make it work.

I have more pictures of her in my photo albums And scattered though all the years you can see other Mirabilias I have stitched.

Headless Summer Queen

Hi all! I'm new to posting here. My name is Sue, and I've been a Mirabilia addict for a number of years. I've completed 6 to date, have two in progress at the moment, and am planning to start two more (as soon as I've completed at least one that's in progress).

This is my Summer Queen - she's the last of the four Queens that I have to finish, so I'm really excited about getting her done soon!

Christmas Flourishes

Well, didn't get as much done on this as I was hoping to, but April is another month. Right? :)
